John Legend was active on Twitter when it came to the Dallas shootings, providing his opinion on the matter itself and on others’ comments on the situation. Former congressmen Joe Walsh posted on Twitter threatening the president and supporters of Black Lives Matter, saying that the ‘Real America’ is coming for them. Legend was quick to reply back shaming Walsh for his threats, and promoting messages of positivity. Although John Legend was posting in support of Black Lives Matter, he did make note of commenting on how some are antagonizing police officers. He informed his fans that rather than attempt to fight the police, they should be respectful and know that not all officers are biased, and it is their job to protect the public.
